About NCYC

3 - 9 Jan, 2009 - State Netball Hockey Centre, Melbourne - College, budget or tent accommodation from $499, ages 16-30

NCYC 2009 – Possibly the greatest seven days since Genesis.

The National Christian Youth Convention is seven days of young people hanging out, doing electives and bible studies, and worshipping in a way you never could at home. The week is packed with music, speakers, entertainment – and usually a life changing moment or two.

Around 2000 young people aged 16 to 30 from Australia and overseas, other churches, and from different ethnic and cultural backgrounds converge on NCYC to make it the biggest gig of the Uniting Church in Australia. And it runs every two years!

NCYC is more than just a week away in January. Delegates return to homes, congregations and schools hyped, inspired and challenged from what they’ve experienced – motivated to carry out God’s will in the church and wider community.

i’m a youth leader and will like to participate in this program because i had aspired to be in Australia amongst other countires in the world. Could you please formally invite me and 5 other youths through my church (METHODIST CHURCH NIGERIA), directly addressing it to the Prelate, His Eminence, Dr. Sunday Ola Makinde, Methodist Church Nigeria, Wesley House, Marina, Lagos. As i am strongly convinced that the programme will be the best i have ever attended.

WOW, What can I say. NCYC is such an inspirational event in the christian walk. This will be my third time attending and I am very excited to see what God has in store for me this time. The only way of knowing how awsome this experience is is just to go and see for yourself!
