Register as an Adult Volunteer
Remember to choose Adult Volunteer as your registration type!

According to Napoleon, an army marches on its stomach.
In contrast, an NCYC functions because of its Adult Volunteers.
An Adult Volunteer (AV) is someone usually older than delegate-age who will assist the teams during the week of the convention to make NCYC “happen”. About 100 adult volunteers will be required.
Some examples of tasks which AVs might undertake are:
- Accommodation Site Support
- Bus Drivers
- Overseas Hosting
- Carpark Attendants
- Dinner Stewards
- Program Stewards
- Security
- Assistants to Delegates with a Disability
- Pick-up and Return of Goods
- Secretarial and Administration Support
- Drivers
- Assistants on Registration Day
- General Cleaning
- General Maintenance
- Distribution of Food or Other Goods
- Crèche Assistants
Upon registering as an AV, you will allocated tasks which are suited to your skills and talents.
AVs can be “day volunteers”, but a large contingent of “full attendance” volunteers is required. In addition to providing his/her services for the week, an AV’s registration includes a financial contribution which provides them with meals etc for the week. All AVs must have a current ‘Working With Children’ check.
For any Adult Volunteer enquiries, feel free to contact the Adult Volunteers Team directly on av@ncyc.org.au anytime.
To register as an AV, go to ncyc.org.au/registration/
If you’re interested in volunteering, fill in the form on the Get Involved page or contact the office.
