Prayer Network

Heavenly Father,

We have converged here at MLC to be submerged in a community of faith.

Over the past few days, we have seen old faces, met new faces and heard from people from far and wide.

Today let us pray for each and every delegate here, for all those who couldn’t make it because of circumstances. We pray for Robyn Whittaker as she continues her studies in
Chicago. We pray for Amie Dural and her continuing work in the
Philippines, for the downtrodden and forgotten people, for those who suffer persecution for their faith and work.

As we move forward through the week, may we continue to open our ears to hear his word and our mouths to proclaim his praise.

Heavenly Father,

Christmas has come and gone and in it we’ve probably been caught up in the hype and hurry of the silly season. As we roll on towards the impending new year and NCYC, may we remember the meaning of Christmas and the gift we were given in the birth of that little baby.

NCYC is days away… and as we all prepare to CONVERGE on Melbourne and MLC, may we take the meaning of Christmas with us into NCYC and beyond.

As the gang prepare for the NCYC phonearound this Wednesday, may you bless each and every one of them and the people they speak to. As we are your hands in this world, let us always bring glory and praise to you in the things that we say and do.

Heavenly Father,

As NCYC nears, some of us are beginning to falter. The sheer size of what we are trying to achieve can seem overwhelming. We sometimes begin to doubt our own abilities and the abilities of those around us.

At this time Father, I would like to pray for all the teams and their members as they work together to achieve this goal together. May we find strength when we are weak and guidance when we seem lost.

Together, we can achieve all things through Him who empowers us.

Lets work together and have the best NCYC yet!

The following prayer is one heard many years ago … which I often turn to in times of hardship. It was found with the belongings of a confederate soldier. My prayer is that you find in its words the same comfort that I found. 

I asked God for strength, that I might achieve
I was made weak, that I might learn humbly to obey

I asked for health, that I might do greater things
I was given infirmity, that I might do better things I asked for riches, that I might be happy
I was given poverty, that I might be wise

Heavenly Father,

As we begin a new week, we pray for all those in the MC as they continue to work through the details involved in the change of site. Continue to guide them in their work.

Today, I’d also like to pray for the delegates who will be joining us from the Christian Protestant Church in Bali, Indonesia. Guide them and all those who will support them as they prepare to travel to Melbourne in January.

Loving heavenly father,

Today I’d like to us pray for the Management Committee and their continuing work with all the venues to make NCYC a rockin’ week for all us delegates.

Heavenly Father,

Let us pray for the Overseas Delegates and 2nd Gen team as they work together with those delegates who hope to join us from overseas.  We pray for Vinaka and the group from the Methodist Church in Fiji as they work towards getting their travelling visas to join us for NCYC.

As we gather together and prepare for the All Teams Day this weekend, let us pray for all the teams that will be gathering together and the work they continue to do in organising NCYC.

May we all feel the presence of God around us and in us as we gather in His name.

As we watch the seasons change around us, let us pray for Jay, Neil and the members of the Administration team who are busy putting together all the delegate information packs and getting everything ready for a fabulous few days.
