Venues

Main venue update

The new main venue for NCYC09 is now Methodist Ladies College (MLC) in Melbourne. “MLC has superb facilities for the worships and whole convention gatherings, wonderful spaces for the festival, Bible studies, electives, nightlife, and chill out time, and will really help to build a sense of Christian community” said Convention Coordinator Rohan Pryor. “New restrictions arose around the State Netball Hockey Centre, which meant that we had to make this decision,” said Rohan. dear ncyc, Is the accommodation for surge kids at mlc too? How much are they involved in the main programme, hopefully including bands? yours, annie (MUM)

    Hey Annie,
Surge are not staying at MLC, they are staying at Kew Baptist (10 Highbury Grove, Kew). Surge has its own bible study group, submersions and community but we will be at MLC during the day and are attending all worships, whole convention gathering, public rallies and at least 2 nightlife’s (finer points of what nightlife’s we are attending is still being discussed - but definitely will get to see some bands!).
    Hope this answers your questions.

Hi I am an adult volunteer and I was wondering where my 9 yr old daughter who I registered for the 6yrs to 11yr age group will be staying. Will she stay on site with me? With what ever I have been delegated to do as an adult volunteer.
I did email Merryn but I haven’t recieved an answer to this same question.
I also have a 13 yr old registered in serge.
Do these groups have a program set out that we can look at I can’t find anything on this site.
    Thankyou
